Dr. Amina’s Lens

Why am I writing this series?

For a long time, changes related to women's bodies and sexuality have been treated as taboo and left out of open conversation.

New technologies are now emerging in areas that have long been overlooked. Devices and services are gradually making changes in our bodies visible, where we once had only our own sensations to rely on.

Gaps between these developments and our institutions and cultures still remain.

From a public health perspective, I want to keep asking what society truly needs, beyond what is currently trending.

I also want to look closely at how new options emerging around the world could change our lives, our future, and the lives of the next generation of women.
